Who On Earth Am I Talking To Anyway?
March 2005

Hi

Thanks for looking into my website...a wonderful demonstration of ego gone mad if ever there was one. Have you ever tried 'ego surfing' on the net? It's when you put your own name into Google. I tried it and found out there's another Adam Norsworthy living half way round the world in Australia...we are not related - well, not via the last 2 or 3 generations anyway... for some reason I was a bit disappointed. I'd hate to think how all the John Smiths and Pete Browns feel...

Anywho, the gig season has kicked off and my blues boys, The Mustangs, are as busy as ever with a few festival shows coming up... it would be nice to think we'll do these in the sunny open air in front of 1000's of adoring punters, but the reality is that most blues festivals are held in pubs, and those that you do end up playing outside are usually in the freezing cold to a handful of people oblivious to who you are... this year may be different as we seem to making waves in the right direction... (towards the shore??).

The solo shows are starting to come in via my tenacious agent Iain (no, he's not, he's just a very friendly man)... I love the support shows and proper club venues where I can do my own stuff and really put something into it - the Bedford last month was great - it's a real treat to have silence and peopl elistening, rather than the clatter of glasses, the ping of fruit machines and the sad, lonely cry of barfly... but even these pub nights where you play covers for two hours can be fun - especially when everyone starts singing along...the Rising Sun in Swanmore is a great example of this - bloody nice crowd too.

I've started recording tracks for my new solo CD... it should be ready in a few more weeks. I'd like to think I'd developed as an artist since Shadow on the Hill, but the truth is it's going to be more of the same, so don't expect Sgt. Pepper just yet. "Don't expect"?? Who on earth am I talking to anyway? Does anyone read this? I need to get out more... or find myself a girlfriend...

As always, thanks to Tim for looking after my site and updating it...

More soon

Adam
